Burns Night 2016

Action in Africa Burns’ Night 2016 was held at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club to commemorate the Scottish Bard.  Alastair Davidson was the Master of Ceremony.  Bob Ash piped in the haggis and Ceilidh band Blackthorn was on hand to ensure that a great time was had by all.

This was a difficult event for the trustees as it was the first since the passing of our dear chairman John Earl, who had great enthusiasm for a good fund raiser and particularly enjoyed a Burns Supper.  A smaller turnout meant that the £1,000 profit was less than last year, however all the revellers present commented that it was a great evening and have asked us to hold another next year.  John would be proud.

A big thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Ol’ Robbie with us!

We hope to see you on Friday January 26th 2018 at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club.  Please contact Carolyn Higgs at actioninafrica.ashtead@com for further details or click here to view the flier.

Please enjoy the photos below which include Alastair & Bob toasting the haggis, our Chairman Michal Agius, Vice ChairTina Rayburn & Treasurer Carolyn Higgs and a few of our supporters who took the dancefloor by storm!

We have to thank Action in Africa trustee Andy Dutton who was our photographer for the evening.
